How Shall We Live In Volusia Summit On June 16, 2007 VCOG held a How Shall We Live In Volusia Summit.  The purpose of this event was to bring everyone to the table at one time for one conversation regarding the progress made to date regarding future Smart Growth in Volusia and to discuss what direction the community wanted to go from this point. This event followed two years (2003-2004) of engagement by Volusia residents through VCARD (Volusia County Association for Responsible Development); one year (2005) of the County, cities and community stakeholders meeting to produce the Volusia Smart Growth Implementation Committee Report; one year (2006) of Charter Review Commission land use discussions; followed by the VCOG Smart Growth Committee meetings through May 2007 where they verbally adopted of Map A.
